Peermont's Rio and Mmabatho Palms Resorts including various other stakeholders, were invited to the Taung Hotel school launch on 24 August. 

This modern food creative centre is situated in the rural area of Taung and offers student accommodation, state of the art kitchen facilities and an entrainment area. The tourism industry in the North West is targeting training, as well as working towards exposing the rural Taung to the world. Taung is has a vast tourism attraction which is not only the world renowned Taung skull site, but also the dam and limestone waterfall. 

Rio Casino is looking forward to partnering with the school in future by offering in-service training for the learners to prepare them for future employment in the hospitality industry.
